What Visitors Say
A modern theatre where every seat feels close to the action, it’s right by Tottenham Court Road station. It’s a clever in-the-round design - the seating curves fully around the stage so you never feel too far away, which makes performances feel more immersive. The space itself feels fresh and well thought through, with clean, modern toilets, several bars, and an overall polished atmosphere.
We enjoyed the show and like the layout of this modern theatre with stage being in the middle of the audience. We like the surprise of actors appearing on balconies and from multiple access points. The play itself 'The spy who came from the cold' was brilliant as well.
Ok first the good. The show (Every Brilliant Thing), is THE BEST show. It should be on the curriculum, everyone should see this show. It is vital to modern day life. The staff were excellent to me. Informative, attentive, kind. There were parts of the experience that didn't work for me. This is a theatre open a little more than three years ago and yet why does the venue feel so inaccessible from the entrance through to your seat? Flights of strairs, no leg room, confusing toilet signs. It could have been great, but it falls short. Would I come again? If the show were the right show yes, but it would have to be the right seat.
@sohoplace theatre is an absolute gem and a triumph of modern theatre design. From the moment you step inside, the architecture makes a powerful impression — bold, elegant, and wonderfully intimate. There’s a real sense that every detail has been thoughtfully designed with the audience experience in mind. The stage is exceptional, and what truly sets the space apart is how brilliantly it connects performers and audience. No matter where you sit in the house, the view is outstanding — clear sightlines, perfect proximity, and a feeling of being completely immersed in the action. It’s rare to find a theatre where every seat genuinely feels like a good seat, but @sohoplace achieves exactly that. There’s also a beautiful resonance with Shakespeare’s Globe in the way the space wraps around the stage, creating a shared, communal energy between actors and audience. That circular, inclusive feeling brings performances vividly to life and makes the experience feel both timeless and excitingly contemporary. A stunning theatre that combines architectural brilliance with exceptional functionality — @sohoplace isn’t just a venue, it’s an experience.
A great modern theatre with good views from all seats. Spacious bar area and convenient access to Tottenham court road tube

Yes, if you book with the production's scale in mind. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is currently listed at @sohoplace, so choose seats that suit this staging rather than simply buying the cheapest available ticket. For a first visit, a central view is the least risky option.
What kind of night out does @sohoplace suit best?
@sohoplace works best for Modern productions, intimate staging, excellent sightlines, and innovative theatre lovers who want a close-up experience in Soho. What should I know about access before booking @sohoplace?
Check the venue's official access page or box office before booking wheelchair spaces, transfer seats, step-free routes, companion seats or assisted performances. London venues vary sharply by level, and the most comfortable choice is often a specific access seat rather than a general price band.
How early should I arrive at @sohoplace?
