Things to Know Before You Go

Is there a Saturday matinee for Sabrage next weekend?

Yes — Sat 25 Jul 17:00 (tickets available).

What time does the Sabrage Sunday show start next weekend?

Sun 26 Jul 16:00

What's the cheapest Sabrage performance next weekend?

From £37 (Fri & Sat & Sun).

Strut & Fret as a company — what's their actual signature?

Big-room circus-cabaret with a Soho/Paris glamour overlay — they made LIMBO, Cantina and Blanc de Blanc, which between them have toured most of the world's festivals since the early 2010s. Sabrage is firmly in that family: international circus elites doing serious acrobatic work, dressed in 1920s-into-French-cabaret styling, soundtracked by a live band. If you've seen any of their previous shows the vocabulary is familiar; the venue is what changes the show this time.

Lafayette as a venue — what's it like?

A King's Cross former club-and-music-venue that the production has converted into a cabaret room — round tables on the floor, raised seating on a horseshoe, a working bar visible from your seat. The intimacy is the point: the acrobats land within an arm's reach of the front tables, and the room's nightclub bones give the show a working-late-into-the-night quality that proper theatre venues can't fake.

VIP Nola's Bar package — what's the actual value?

Pre- and post-show access to a small below-deck speakeasy with table service, a separate cocktail list, occasional live music between sets. Worth the upgrade if you're treating it as the evening rather than as a show with drinks afterwards; less worth it if you'd rather walk five minutes to one of the King's Cross gastropubs. The food packages bundled into table seats are the more practical add-on.

What kind of show is Sabrage?

Sabrage is an adults-only blend of contemporary circus, cabaret and live music. Expect aerial acts, acrobatics, dance, comedy and a generous serving of tongue-in-cheek glamour, all framed as a champagne-fuelled night out rather than a traditional theatre performance.

Is Sabrage suitable for children?

No. This production is recommended for ages 16 and over. It features sensual themes, suggestive choreography and a generally hedonistic atmosphere, making it best suited to adults and older teenagers comfortable with mature content.

Where does Sabrage take place?

Sabrage is staged at Lafayette London, a stylish live venue at 11 Goods Way in King’s Cross. The location is a short walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, making it easy to reach by Underground, train or bus.

Is there a dress code for Sabrage?

There is no strict dress code, but many guests lean into the glamorous, party-like setting. Smart-casual or cocktail attire feels very much in keeping with the show’s champagne-soaked, late-night atmosphere.

Are food and drinks available at the venue?

Yes. Lafayette offers bar service, and selected performances may have food and drink packages available when you book. Guests can also choose VIP access to Nola’s Bar, a speakeasy-style hideaway that extends the experience before or after the main performance.

Do I need to be a regular cabaret-goer to enjoy Sabrage?

Not at all. Sabrage is designed to be welcoming for newcomers as well as seasoned cabaret fans. The mix of music, circus skills and comedy makes it easy to enjoy even if you have never been to a cabaret or nu-circus show before.

About this show

Named after the art of opening champagne with a sword, Sabrage invites you into a heady blend of circus, cabaret and late-night glamour in the heart of King’s Cross. At Lafayette London, international acrobats, dancers and cabaret artists collide in a whirlwind of big-band beats, high-flying tricks and mischievous comedy, all wrapped in a haze of bubbles, sequins and French-inflected decadence.

Created by Strut & Fret and director Scott Maidment, the team behind hit nu-circus and immersive experiences around the world, the show serves up opulent visuals, daring physical feats and knowingly cheeky storytelling. With the option to upgrade into Nola’s Bar, a hidden speakeasy-style hideaway, Sabrage becomes the perfect choice for a decadent, adults-only night out that feels part show, part party and part secret celebration.
