Good theatre which definitely could use a refurbishment but it is sufficiently good. The chairs are, as in every theatre around the world, uncomfortable and a horror if you are tall. The shows put on are world class, entertaining, beautiful and stunning so would recommend seeing a few. My biggest feedback is that the theatre can get really hot during the performance as the AC is either old or minimal and the audience tends to feel quite uncomfortable innthat heat. Overall the quality of shows put on here deserve the four stars.

Their recent performance at The Peacock Theatre was nothing short of spectacular. Clocking in at a total run time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, the show flies by thanks to its incredible pacing. The heart of the performance lies in the breathtaking traditional Japanese drumming, which is so powerful you can feel the vibrations deep in your chest. However, this is not just a concert because it is a true visual marvel. The troupe incorporates excellent choreography that turns the entire stage into a display of elite athleticism and grace. To keep things balanced, they also inject small doses of comedy throughout the evening. These playful, lighthearted interactions with the crowd provide the perfect palate cleanser between the high energy sets. The stage production itself is beautiful. As you can see in pictures seen in this review, the traditional lanterns and striking backdrop create a wonderful atmosphere, whilst the dramatic shift to deep blue lighting keeps the visual narrative fresh and engaging. That brings me to the venue itself. The Peacock Theatre, which is proudly displayed on the exterior windows in the is a fantastic, intimate space with great views from almost any seat. However, there is one major downside you need to prepare for because the theatre has no air conditioning. Due to this, the auditorium can get extremely sweaty at times, especially during a high octane show like this. Ultimately, the sheer talent on stage completely outshines the lack of climate control. It is an unforgettable, five star performance trapped inside a three star climate. Dress in light layers, bring some cold water, and prepare to be blown away.
I went to see Yamato! I loved it! The drums sound amazing! The guys are really good, they have so much energy and a great performance! I was in a box at the back and had a good view.
I was yesterday on Yamato performance, it was just amazing!! Original Japanese drums and amazing 2 hours of fun, traditional music , absolutely brilliant!
They had the best ice cream selection of all the theatres I've been to so far 😅 The usual vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, plus clotted cream and honeycomb, mint, lemon sorbet, a plant-based one and several others. They had a lift for accessibility and our seats were comfortable. The sound was good and the show was great! Looking forward to seeing a different show here soon 👍
