What Visitors Say
The show itself is ok. Artists are talented - brilliant voices and smooth moves. Live music adds to the whole experience but… there is still something missing. Especially if you have paid a lot of money for it. Theatre is an interesting place. Round moving stage. Mixture of history and… wires. There was also some leak straight on few people heads before the Cabaret started but they actually quickly dealt with it. No pictures allowed inside the venue. No pictures to the point that staff member was placing a sticker on each mobile phone camera before you were let in. Cheeky of them, as all of their marketing images will only show round tables - the most expensive seats but none of other seats and those have pretty limited leg room. All Security People and ice cream Man were lovely but some of the staff were unpleasant, including that man who was placing the stickers or barman shouting at us that we were queuing from a wrong direction to the toilets. If you thinking about it, I would go to see something else.
absolutely amazing show!!! loved the staging, direction and costumes! was completely mindblown. no photos of tbe inside because you are not allowed to take pictures upon entering the building but the whole atmosphere, it’s a special show at the theatre!
Absolutely loved Cabaret! Everything about it, from the moment we walked in, was spellbinding. It's so clever how they have transformed the look and feel of the Playhouse. The show was vibrant, funny, sad, tragic, disturbing - it's got the lot. The plot itself has such a powerful political subtext also that sadly feels particularly relevant now. The performances from Matt Willis as Emcee and Katie Hall as Sally were stand out - they were brilliant! But the whole cast were truly fantastic. We loved loved loved it!! This has to be the best theatre experience we have had in years. Go see for yourself! FYI we were Stalls D1&2. Great seats 👍🏻
Interesting show, not much of a story behind it. This show is definitely not suitable for young children. Food tasted pretty bad (very tourist food level). Drinks are okay. One nice thing is they will give you free shots when you enter the venue.
Saw Cabaret in Feb '26 and had a fantastic time. My best friend had seen it before and said it was an excellent rendition of the original. I had never seen it before and only knew the plot loosely before attending and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The pre-performance given by some of the actors was excellent and well worth arriving early to see. We were both pretty bummed that you cannot take pictures at all as we enjoy taking pictures of the venues we see shows in as well as selfies of ourselves with the stage and paraphernalia when we see shows to commemorate the experience, but we both understood given the nature of the show and costumes. Staff were kind and helpful and I couldn't imagine having a better experience or show. The actors were incredible, the music was sublime, and the tale gripping. My only wish besides being able to take photos is that they had a program that didn't cost so much, £15 or roughly $20. I know that is pretty run of the mill for shows in England, and the programs are very detailed and high quality, but even if they just had a regular paper leaflet with names of the actors listed with which character they were playing available for free or for a pound or two would have been nice.
