What Visitors Say
The musical Come I Live (inspired by the film The Greatest Showman) is simply amazing! Both the film and the musical are stunning. The circus — the whole venue — welcomes you as part of the show. You feel like you’ve stepped into an old circus with acrobats, performers, crystal balls, and elephants. There’s also a simple café where you can grab a bite before the show starts. The set design is top-notch: you literally feel like a part of the performance, an active participant in the spectacle. This is one of the most memorable and incredible shows I’ve ever seen. It is absolutely worth seeing. The musical tells the story of an old-style circus: performers sing, dance, and perform amazing acts, creating a lively and vivid atmosphere. Everything is presented in an engaging and breathtaking way. As one famous director once said, “The theatre begins at the coat check” — and here, the show begins the moment you step into the world of the famous circus performer and showman P.T. Barnum. The performance starts at 7:30 PM, but it’s best to arrive around 6:00–6:30 PM to fully enjoy the atmosphere and grab a snack. My 12-year-old son was absolutely thrilled.
Come Alive was a fabulous show. Get there early to get all the atmosphere and side shows. Every seat was good so don’t worry about where you go. Music was well done and loud enough. Acts go on all over the place so look around. All the good songs sang and performances were out of this world. An absolute must. Do it
It was a great experience seeing Come Alive in the Empress Museum. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great venue for this kind of show with an immense experience before the show started. Very conveniently located from West Brompton station with good pubs around to enjoy food and drink before an after the show.
The Empress Museum. What a stunning venue! Here today to see ‘Come Alive’. Fantastic show, wonderful music with live band and incredible performances. Pre show you could experience an interesting walk through of picture galleries with lots of information. A magician was in one area doing tricks with bubbles - honestly, he was brilliant and very funny. Set ups of circus related items that you could have your picture taken with/in. The whole ‘museum’ was so unique and interesting it would be worth a visit without the show. Bar area was great and reasonably priced. A very unique experience and one I will remember for a long time.
I visited in April 2025. It is currently home to Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular. There was much to explore before the show started, including performers, food, and merchandise.
